Lickspittle is a noun and from my research means the following:
- A person who gives empty flattery for purely personal gain.
- A person deferring to others for self-serving reasons and favour.
To be called a lickspittle is a derogatory reference to your character.
To be a lickspittle you may also be a toady, sycophant or arse-licker.
Politics is a natural habitat and breeding ground of lickspittles
